Coonara Springs Restaurant, Gardens, High Tea, Accommodation Olinda

Coonara Springs has historical significance as an 1890’s selectors house and has recently been restored and renovated into a beautiful restaurant. The property used to operate as a tea room but reopened in 2016 as a dining destination. While it retains many of its original features, the restaurant has been modernised with a state of the art kitchen, all access facilities and luxurious soft finishes.

The gardens were also extensively remodelled in 2015 to showcase the beautiful mature trees canopy and extensive stonework. The garden retains many unique plants and original features, but now also grows edible and medicinal plants. Further, down the hill are mountain ash groves with wild paths and native undergrowth.

Sample some of Coonara Springs most delicious meals. Think Australian cuisine with a touch of country flavour. The menu is prepared from the freshest produce sourced locally depending on what is in season. Look out for the special features each week: Bistro day on Wednesdays and an a la carte menu between Thursdays-Sundays.

Just 150 metres across a landscaped field sits Moorabinda Cottage. Built in 1962, the house is superbly positioned to take in the best of the Dandenong Ranges. You can book a stay here, as this beautiful property offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Click the link to book your accommodation here today!
