The Dandenong Ranges National Park is the main highlight when visiting Ferntree Gully. The stunning park has five sections to explore; each of them is filled with lush forests, exciting trails, and scenic sights.

While visiting the Dandenong Ranges National Park, check out the 1000 Steps Kokoda Walk; a unique tourist attraction. It is well-maintained thanks to the efforts of rangers so that locals and tourists can explore this stunning track within the forested areas. The name is derived from the challenging yet fulfilling stone step walk that takes you to One Tree Hill, which takes you to the top of the mountain.

It was designed with kids in mind, so you can be sure there are several playgrounds and child-friendly activities to enjoy safely within the arboretum. One of the major highlights here is the two zip lines, equipped with disc-shaped seats that will give kids a delightful experience.

Cycling enthusiasts should check out Devil’s Elbows; a popular cycling destination within the Dandenong Ranges. It gets its name from the road that starts at Upper Ferntree Gully and takes you to Ferny Creek – a challenging trail that is a favourite among seasoned cyclists.
