Tecoma

Tecoma is a beautiful suburb located near the Dandenong Ranges. Located just 34km from the Melbourne CBD, Tecoma is an easily accessible weekend getaway spot for locals and visitors to the region.

Tecoma boasts a main street with small shops, eateries and gift shops. However, the area doesn’t contain huge shopping venues as some of the other towns do in the Dandenong Ranges.

The area has a number of furniture shops, art and craft shops and local restaurants serving tasty Australian food varieties. You can browse through the local craft shops to buy some souvenirs to take with you.

Accommodation venues are few in this town; however, you will find a number of apartment and villa rentals nearby. Check out the range of accommodation options below.

With Tecoma being the second railway station along the Belgrave train line, it is a popular railway junction in the suburbs of the Dandenong Ranges. Road transport is also very good in the Tecoma area; with most visitors taking to the roads to explore the area’s scenic surroundings and nature parks.

Popular tourist attractions include bushwalking and scenic tours across the grasslands; and also visiting the popular nearby tourist spots in Belgrave and Mt Dandenong.
