The Secret Gardens of the Dandenong Ranges is a tour event which takes visitors to some of the finest private gardens in the Dandenong Ranges.
Many of the gardens on the tour are not open to the public, so this specialised tour is the best way to be able to see many of these beautiful private gardens.

Run over a number of days, these ours will attend a variety of different gardens visited each day. Some of the gardens visited in previous years have included: Midgarth (Olinda), William Ricketts Sanctuary (Mt Dandenong), Ferny Creek Ornamental Gardens, Beechmont (Olinda), Mernda Heights (Olinda), Coonawarra (Sassafras), Cloudehill (Olinda), Hillangully Homstead (Olinda) and Nobelius (Emerald). You can opt to purchase a tour; typically visit 4 gardens each day.
The tours are limited to only 50 places per day, and you will be taken between locations on an air-conditioned bus. Your tour will include lunch at a restaurant and refreshments as well as entry to each of the gardens. Please note that the tours do not include accommodation costs.
The tour requires participants to be able to walk and stand for 1-2 hour periods, although there will be places to rest as presentations and talks are being given. There are steps in some of the gardens as well as some uneven terrain, so participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes.
The tours depart from Kalorama each morning, and those taking the tour need to arrange their own transport to and from Kalorama each morning. The tour departs at 9am each morning.
