King Henry Arts Cafe

King Henry Arts cafe is a family-owned cafe located in scenic Sassafras, just an hour’s drive from the Melbourne CBD.

The most interesting aspect about this charming cafe is that it is more than a hundred years old, having been established in 1902.

The property has since undergone renovations making it a warm and cosy place to retreat to after a long day, or a simply great place to enjoy some good food and drinks with friends.

The theme of the cafe is (obviously) King Henry, and you will find a range of antiques and original fittings inside the cafe to give it a warm and historic feel.

While waiting for a meal, it is not uncommon to see visitors take a stroll by the expansive gardens, taking some time off to enjoy a few quiet minutes by the tranquil ponds. On warmer days, you will find people sitting on the outdoor veranda where you can get the best views of the beautiful garden.

Breakfast is served all day, and lunch is available from 11am. A visit to this cafe is incomplete without a delicious cup of great coffee.
